New video comparing the French Army's Light Infantry Rifle Squad (Groupe de combat) and the Australian Army's Rifle Section in 1967 (the year of one of France's organizational reforms and when the Australian's released an infantry platoon pam). For the Australians both the doctrinal and the Vietnam-specific variations are covered. This video covers the weapons and organization of both in detail, the basic formations each squad/section employed, and tactical vignettes. For the French the tactical vignettes include crossing a gap between tree lines, a bridge, and attacking a structure. For the Australians, the tactical vignettes include their contact front and contact rear drill.
