This is a gallery of Platoon and Section Graphics for the U.S. Military, typically of organizations that have organic vehicles. To differentiate these newer graphics from my older styles that I don't want to include I'm labelling it "Mission Style" because when possible I render the unit's intended mission on the graphic and the next higher unit's organization when possible.

There is a lot of ambiguity between a "section" and a "squad" in terms of manpower, and sometimes the army will call something a "team" even though it's bigger than a different type of squad or section. Where I'm drawing the line is this gallery will be vehicle-centric, suited to sections and teams that have multiple vehicles and aren't part of a platoon, while the squad gallery is firearms centric, suited to our normal idea of an infantry squad.

278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of 2004: The Last National Guard ACR

In 2004, the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment was a unit wholly of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Its doctrinal mission was to conduct reconnaissance, security, and economy of force missions in support of V Corps, or act as an armored task force when reinforced.
